“What a dream come true. We’re so proud to welcome the Hiawatha Collegiate High School Class of 2019 – the college class of 2023!”
Colette Owens, Executive Director, Hiawatha Academies
Growing Learners. Growing Leaders.
Hiawatha Collegiate High School (HCHS) is one of Hiawatha Academies‘ network of high performing college-preparatory schools focused on closing the achievement gap in Minneapolis. Hiawatha Academies was founded by civic leaders, parents, educators and business people who want our scholars to receive an education that demands their best in behavior, attitude, and effort, and that challenges them to achieve to their highest potential.
HCHS opened its doors in Fall 2015, and is the first high school in our network, serving grades 9-12. In Spring 2015, 100 scholars graduated from our Hiawatha College Prep middle school to begin their high school careers with us; the graduating class of 2019.
HCHS offers each scholar a personalized high school experience that recognizes and builds on their unique talents and interests and prepares them with the knowledge and habits to thrive in college. All scholars will enjoy a well-rounded program rooted in rigorous academics, comprehensive college support, and meaningful extracurricular activities. We’re committed to ensuring that 100% of our scholars graduate from high school, proving that closing the achievement gap in Minneapolis is possible.
